it actually contains a DNS server, what? why? and it makes assumptions about how the system should operate. It has no project scope and has huge amounts of bloat. It is not very Unix like (do one thing and do it well) and it's eerily similar to windows svchost.exe. If you like to go off the rails systemd tends to be a huge headache. It's more than a choice about init systems it's a choice about how the system operates. systemd makes sense in some situations (namely it's pretty good for embedded systems, tho it is resource intensive.) I want my arch linux to be as lightweight as possible. I hate gnome and kde and other DEs except XFCE, but i myself use i3-gaps WM. Pacman is absolutly the best package manager. Arch wiki has EVERYTHING in it and if you search you'll find answers if you'll have problems. It's just installing and customizing takes time.
